01Crawled – currently not indexed
What it means: Google crawled the page but chose not to index it yet.
How to fix: Improve content depth and uniqueness, add internal links, then resubmit with SC IndexFlow.
02Discovered – currently not indexed
What it means: Google knows the URL but hasn’t crawled it.
How to fix: Submit the URL via the Indexing API / IndexNow and link to it from strong pages.
03Excluded by ‘noindex’ tag
What it means: A noindex meta tag or header tells Google not to index the page.
How to fix: Remove the noindex from the page or SEO plugin settings, then resubmit.
04Blocked by robots.txt
What it means: Your robots.txt stops crawlers from accessing the page.
How to fix: Allow the path in robots.txt and request indexing again.
05Duplicate without user-selected canonical
What it means: Google sees duplicates and picked another URL as canonical.
How to fix: Add a canonical tag pointing to the preferred URL and consolidate duplicates.
06Soft 404
What it means: The page returns 200 but looks empty or like an error.
How to fix: Add real content or return a proper 404/410 status.
07Page with redirect
What it means: The submitted URL redirects elsewhere.
How to fix: Submit the final destination URL instead of the redirecting one.
08Server error (5xx)
What it means: The server failed when Google tried to crawl.
How to fix: Check hosting uptime and error logs; resubmit once fixed.
09Not found (404)
What it means: The URL doesn’t exist anymore.
How to fix: Restore the page, redirect it to a relevant URL, or remove internal links to it.
10Alternate page with proper canonical tag
What it means: The page correctly points to another canonical URL.
How to fix: No action needed — this is expected for variants.
